SPICY PORK LETTUCE WRAPS


here is a healthy quick weeknight dinner idea! This one has lots of flavor and lets you tailor your spice levels, your sauce preference and what meat you want.

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound ground meat (of your choice)
3 garlic cloves (minced)
A thumb size piece of ginger (minced)
1 onion chopped
1 bell pepper
Chopped water chestnuts or bamboo shoots (these can be found in the canned section)
3 scallions (chopped)
Container of mushrooms (optional)
Butter lettuce

SAUCE- combine:
Equal parts (3tbsp) Thai sweet chili sauce, hoisin sauce, soy sauce and sriracha.
3 garlic cloves
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 tbsp minced ginger
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp cornstarch

Cook ground meat in skillet for about 6 min with scallions, chopped onion and few tbsp of sauce. Once meat has browned on the outside, remove from pan and add your veggies. Cook for about 5 min and then add back in meat with the remaining sauce until it has thickened. Scoop into butter lettuce and top with sriracha. Serve with soy sauce or sweet chili sauce.
